Travis Bartz was born and raised in Charles City. He was a sheriff reserve from 1995 until 1999 when he was hired as a third shift deputy sheriff. Travis was promoted to investigator in 2003 until 2013. Travis is currently in charge of the civil division. Travis was promoted to Lieutenant in December 2019.
