Effective March 30, 2020, Floyd County is implementing a COVID-19 Screening processes at all county facilities. Limited access efforts have already been made but as a precautionary measure, more needs to be done at this time. The checklist identifies criteria that may prohibit persons from entering county facilities. If you have criteria that prohibits you from entering a county building, please contact the department you need to see to make other arrangements to address your needs. If you meet criteria to access the building, the department you desire to visit still has discretion of whether or not to permit you in the building. Pending the services you are seeing, there are often other ways to provide services during this critical time. We will always make effort to accommodate your needs.
At most facilities signs, drop boxes and instruction on how to conduct business are available to direct the public on other ways of conducting business. Many county departments have Facebook pages. Please like and follow them for up-to-date information on the status of services. As you know, things are changing frequently.
Please adhere to the Iowa Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and and Prevention mitigation strategies during this pandemic. Be safe and stay healthy! If you are ill, stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to leave your home.
