Sample ballots and polling location information for the March 3, 2020 Special Election for North Iowa Area Community College can be found on the Floyd County Auditor’s webpage. Absentee voting is available during regular office hours and extended hours until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 28 and Monday, March 2.
Voters will vote Yes or No on the following Public Measure: Shall the North Iowa Area Community College District (Merged Area II) in the Counties of Butler, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth and Wright, State of Iowa, be authorized to renovate, improve, repair, construct, erect, furnish, and equip existing buildings, at multiple campus and enrollment locations, with an emphasis on safety, security, and sustainability; to construct, erect, remodel, repair, renovate, improve, furnish, and equip career academy buildings and related site improvements, and to acquire sites, if necessary; and issue its school bonds in an amount not exceeding $15,000,000 for such purposes?
Unofficial results for Floyd County will be posted on the Floyd County Auditor Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FloydCountyAuditor/ on election night as results come in and on the Floyd County Auditor’s web page at the end of the night. The Canvass of the election will be on Tuesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. (following the regular Board of Supervisor’s meeting) in the Floyd County Courthouse Board Room. Official results will be posted on both sites.
