HUMAN TRAFFICKING...These words should get your attention.  Join Floyd County in the Learn Something, Do Something initiative to raise awareness on the horrible crime of human trafficking.  
On Oct 16 at 2 p.m. the North Iowa Coalition Against Human Trafficking will present the movie GRIDSHOCK at the Charles Theater.  Admission is free.
This documentary exposes the reality behind human trafficking IN IOWA.  The filmmaker, Vanessa McNeal, is a survivor of sexual violence.  She explores why the sex trafficking industry thrives. The truth...sex trafficking wouldn’t exist without the thirst and demand for it.  The film features survivors of sex trafficking, local and federal law enforcement, advocates, politicians, and a recovering sex addict.  
On Aug 29, the board of supervisors joined a statewide coalition to end human trafficking in Iowa.  The goal of the Iowa Secretary of State and Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking is to have Iowa's business community raise awareness and help prevent human trafficking.  
Maybe you will be able to make a difference in the life of a human trafficked victim.
