Election & Voter Registration Information

March 7, 2023 - Three Elections:  North Butler Community School District, Nashua-Plainfield Community School District, and Hawkeye Community College

Absentee voting by mail or in person starts, Monday, February 20.  Requests for absentee voting by mail must be received in the office by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 24.  In person absentee voting hours are Monday though Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and extended hours on February 24 until 5 p.m.  

On Election Day, we are consolidating voting precincts.  All eligible voters will vote at the Floyd County Fairgrounds, Youth Enrichment Center building. North Butler Community School District voters WILL NOT be able to vote at the Marble Rock Library; NBCSD voters will need to vote at the fairgrounds on Election Day.  


North Butler Community School District

Public Measure CS

Shall the Board of Directors of the North Butler Community School District in the Counties of Butler and Floyd, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $12,600,000 to provide funds to construct, furnish and equip an addition to the junior/senior high school building and improve the site; to remodel, repair, improve, furnish and equip the existing buildings?  Yes / No


Nashua-Plainfield Community School District

Public Measure EE

 

Shall the Board of Directors of the Nashua-Plainfield Community School District in the Counties of Chickasaw, Bremer, Butler and Floyd, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 to provide funds to construct a baseball/softball athletic complex, including concession and restroom areas, and improve the site?  Yes / No

  

 

Hawkeye Community College

Public Measure BK

 

Shall the Hawkeye Community College (Merged Area VII) in the Counties of Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, Fayette, Floyd, Grundy and Tama, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue its School Bonds in an amount not to exceed $35,000,000 to provide funds to defray the costs of any one or more of the following purposes: to improve its Main Campus and construct, remodel, expand, erect, equip and furnish buildings thereon and construct, acquire, improve, expand, remodel, furnish, and equip new or existing facilities within Merged Area VII?  Yes / No
